HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA/GED PROGRAM/
CLASS TIME/INDEPENDENT STUDY

Individualized and computer-assisted instructions are available in all high school subjects to help students obtain their high school diploma or earn their GED (General Educational Development) certificates.  The classes are offered in a learning center setting, allowing students to attend as their schedule permits.  For those who would like to earn their high school diploma we also offer an Independent Study program where the student may do work at home and meet with a teacher at an assigned meeting time each week.  Please call our office for further information.

Graduates and successful GED recipients are invited to participate in our commencement ceremony on June 10, 2015.  If you would like to register, you may do so the first week of each term by visiting Yucaipa Adult School during the following times and attending the learning center at least 2 to 3  hours following the registration process:
 
Registration Times:  Monday-Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.                           
Class Days/Times:    Monday-Thursday-8:00 a.m.-noon & Monday–Thursday 2:00-8:00 p.m. 
Location:                  Yucaipa Adult School, 35948 Susan Street, Yucaipa
Cost:                         There are no fees for the High School Diploma Class or GED study
                                  Independent Study students are required to pay a $60 deposit for books.
 
 
EFFECTIVE PARENTING CLASS
 
This class offers parents and their children the opportunity to participate together in an interactive environment.  Our class includes a variety of hands-on learning activities, including reading, math, science, music, computers, art and local field trips.  Parents receive instruction on child development and parenting strategies during weekly discussion meetings.

Classes are for students who want to learn English language skills; listening, speaking, reading, in school.

CAPACIDAD DE LEER Y ESCRIBIR DE FAMILY (CBET)
 
Estas clases son para las personas que desean comprender, hablar, leer, escriber, y las computadoras y los metodos para trabajar con niños de edad escolar numentar su éxito en la escuela.

EL CIVICS
 
This class is for those learning the English language providing integrated English literacy and civics education services to immigrants and other limited English proficient populations.  The activities of EL Civics should not only assist these populations improve their English skills, but also help them understand and navigate governmental, educational, and workplace systems.

Esta clase es para aquellos que están aprendiendo el idioma Inglés proporcionado servicios de alfabetización integrada Inglés y educación civica para los inmigrantes y otras poblaciones con un dominio limitado de ingles.  Las actividades de EL Civics no solo deben ayudar a estas poblaciones a mejorar sus habildades en ingles, sino también ayudarles a comprender y navegar los sistemas gubernamentales, educativas y sistemas del lugar de trabajo.

CITIZENSHIP
 
This course is for students who want to become U.S. Citizens but need increased language skills, U.S. Citizenship process and topics.  Class covers the interview process/preparation, application process and possible fee waiver for those who qualify.
 
Students must meet all required qualifications to enroll:
  •  Have a permanent resident card
  • Score at the high beginning or higher range of the CASAS assessment
  • Must live in San Bernardino county
